Friends are a necessary part of life. We cannot live without friends. Life is a barren desert without friendship, and it's all the more exciting when we are surrounded with great friends. Friends make our life easy, free from tension and full of variation. Friends are everlasting and friendship is time tested. True friends will never leave you. At the same time, they will always guide you from all obstacles and warn you against any impending danger. You will always find a good friend beside you whenever you need him/her.

A good friend will always find the fault in you, because they know where you are going wrong. They will be happy when you achieve something great and give a shoulder to cry on when you go through bad times. A friend is one who believes you and as Aristotle says "What is a friend? A single soul in two bodies." Though we always have our friends around us, August 5th is celebrated as Friendship Day, and it is a golden opportunity to let your friends know how much you care for them.
